Introduction
Hello! My name is Greg, and I am a Materials Science Master’s student at Corpus Christi College, Oxford University. I have also studied Materials Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and I am about to begin my PhD in Metallurgy at Pembroke College, Cambridge University. Prior to university, I studied Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) at A-level, and achieved A* A* A A* in those subjects. Due to this, I applied to and received university offers from Oxford University, Imperial College London, St Andrews University, Exeter University, and Loughborough University. Therefore, from my recent and broad experience of university applications, I am now looking to help others achieve their goals for getting into top universities! For university applications, I know first-hand how invaluable tutoring can be. When applying to Oxford, I received tutoring to help me pass the entrance exam and the interview. I cannot emphasis enough how useful it was! My previous experience of being tutored is what has also inspired my tutoring style. I always work alongside you so that we can work as a team in achieving your goals. Department of Materials - University of Oxford
Materials EngineerJuly, 2021 - September, 2021• A competitive and prestigious opportunity funded by the Henry Royce Institute. This was awarded to only three people in the Oxford University Materials Science Department, and 33 people across the UK. • Researched the effects of high-pressure-torsion on the irradiation resistance of Eurofer-97 using nano-indentation. • Researched the bond characteristics of accumulatively roll bonded aluminium-copper samples using scanning electron microscopy. • Lead independent data analyst on both projects. Matlab coding was utilised to clean, analyse, and create meaningful insights from large and complex datasets (over 150,000 measurements per dataset). Presented this research to the Materials For Fusion Power (MFFP) group at Oxford University. • Currently publishing a paper on the Eurofer-97 research. -

Using this work, I predicted the current return rates/dates of different countries, to their economic retail baseline before the pandemic. • I also worked on mathematically modelling the extent that a pandemic could have on different business sectors, using key social factors. Going further, this will allow the prediction of which countries would suffer greatest, given future pandemics. -
