Hi! I'm Maya, and I'm a PhD Student with a scholarship at Oxford. I've graduated from Cambridge with a First Class with Distinction in History (I ranked 3rd out of 170 students). I've recently finished a master's in the social sciences (Refugee and Forced Migration Studies) at Oxford, with distinction, receiving full funding for one of Oxford's most competitive master's degrees. Applying to a top UK university can be scary but I can confidently guide you through this process! I have seven years of experience and have reviewed over sixty personal statements, with several of my clients receiving Oxbridge offers. I've held many Oxbridge mock interviews for History. I offer in-depth reviews of Personal Statements, Supplementary Additional Questionnaires, mock interviews, essay competitions, and general advice. In 2018 I won the Gonville & Caius History essay competition, and received top marks in my English and French coursework at school. I look forward to helping you meet your goals. Oxbridge Applications AdvisorOctober, 2019 - Present• I have reviewed at least ten different personal statements for subjects ranging from medicine, geography, and modern languages • This help ranged from initial advice and the first review of the statement to more in-depth second and third round reviews • A student for whom I made at least thirty comments on her Personal Statement received a Cambridge offer to read Spanish and French • Several of these students received Oxbridge offers • I also advised on other elements of the Cambridge application process such as the Supplementary Additional Questionnaire and interviews • I conducted a mock interview in December 2020 for History which included rigorous discussion of the applicant’s Personal Statement and the historical sources which I had provided for her -
