Introduction
I recently obtained an integrated master's degree in astrophysics from the University of Cambridge with First Class Honours. Through this, I've developed extensive knowledge and understanding of both maths and physics. Prior to university, I obtained four A* grades at A level in maths, further maths, physics, and chemistry. With this experience, I want to help inspire a new generation of budding mathematicians and physicists, particularly those with Oxbridge aspirations. I have a year and a half of experience tutoring at a GSCE level, with lessons carried out both online and in-person. My previous students have seen rapid increases in their abilities in both maths and the sciences, with one student going on to achieve a grade 9 in all the subjects I tutored them. Recently, I have been tutoring students for admission to study physics and mathematics at Oxbridge, Imperial College London, and other prestigious UK institutions. I have a particular interest in machine learning and its applications to scientific research. My master’s project focused on the applications of unsupervised deep neural networks to extract physical information about galaxies from their observational data. Additionally, I undertook an internship at Infosys at their headquarters in Bengaluru, India where I trained neural networks to forecast user activity on a mobile banking app.
