Introduction
Hi, I'm Darian and I am currently a Bar Course student at The City Law School, London. I am a History and Politics graduate of Christ Church, Oxford. I achieved a First-Class Distinction in my Preliminations exams. During my undergraduate degree, I have studied papers in British History 1500-1700; Politics in sub-Saharan Africa; Enlightenments and Revolutions; Theory of Politics; International Relations; British Politics and Government since 1900; Soviet Union 1924-1941; among others. As a result, I have covered a wide swath of world history and political thought, equipping me to tutor with confidence across a large spectrum for those applying to Oxbridge. In the past academic year alone, three of my students for Oxbridge admissions have been successful in obtaining their Oxbridge offers to study History. In my A-Levels, I achieved A* across the board, having studied History, Politics, Classical Civilisation, English Literature, and also an EPQ. Since then, I have tutored extensively for people from varying backgrounds, different educational abilities, and have secured all my Oxbridge applicants a place at interviews, with FOUR of my 2023-24 students gaining a place at Oxbridge. I have also served as a Christ Church College student Access representative, so I have in-depth knowledge of how the admissions processes work and what frequent questioning and concerns arise in applicants. As a tutor, my role is to bring out the best in you by encouraging resilience, independent and critical thought, and a hopeful enthusiasm for the tasks at hand. I have also led a debating club for students aged 11 to 16. I have tutored with various agencies, and have handled students as young as those in Year 9, to those taking A levels in their final year of further education.

NHS Youth Board
ChairJanuary, 2025 - January, 2025• Elected by other members of the WYC, I contributed to the representation of young people’s interests in the county with the local authorities. I also sat in the House of Commons as a Member of the UK Youth Parliament in the 2016 session. Aged 13-15, I led an award-winning campaign to improve young people’s mental health service provision not just through greater awareness but through active cooperation with established authorities and marginalised demographics such as young carers and care leavers. The campaign launched a survey that gathered 230 responses, feeding into a 10,000-word report that was independently written by myself. I chaired campaign committee meetings of key stakeholders, composing my own speeches and leading discussions. The campaign was highlighted in an interview with Worcester News newspaper. The report then formed part of a wider evidence base for the CAMHS Transformation Plan 2017. My campaign was praised in a House of Commons debate by Robin Walker MP on 9 December 2015.
